We know kids and dirt go together like peanut butter and jelly. While Flatty Bear will survive the adventure of a spin through your washing machine, the colors may run or fade slightly if washed frequently over time. The safest way to clean Flatty—for longevity—is to hand wash with a gentle detergent, rinse well, and lay Flatty out to dry completely.

Flatty Bear is made of GOTS-certified organic cotton, and filled with Global Recycle Standard Certified recycled polyfill. Flatty is dyed using water-soluble eco dyes. No harmful chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals, or carcinogens are used in the construction of Flatty Bear.

GOTS is the Global Organic Textile Standard. It is the leading organic textile certification overseeing both ecological and social criteria, and backed by independent certification along the entire textile supply chain.

Flatty Bear is manufactured in fair-trade facilities in India, and shipped to our fulfillment center in Rutland, VT.

It was important for us that Flatty Bear was a safe toy for all children, and that creating him comes with maximum social impact and minimal environmental impact. We searched far and wide to find a plush toy manufacturer whose stuffed toys meet GOTS standards for safety and fair trade practices. Bears for Humanity, Inc. met our high standards and we are pleased to partner with them to bring Flatty Bear to children everywhere.

For every Flatty Bear you purchase, we donate an identical bear to one of our charity partners, to be given to a child in need. Our charity partners distribute the bears according to their mission. Flatty Bear will bring joy to children and adults alike ages 0-100. Flatty is designed for very young children, with no buttons or accessories.
